Kinode is a novel combination of existing technologies, protocols, and ideas that unlocks new application experiences. We aren't creating a new programming language, consensus algorithm, or (yet another) blockchain. Just an execution environment that integrates everything.

When software cannot be remixed and extended, hackers look elsewhere. Kinode creates a system where composability is the default, not the exception.
To use blockchains as databases negates their unique value and comes at a heavy cost. Blockchains are consensus tools and exist in a spectrum alongside other consensus strategies such as Raft, lockstep protocols, and simple gossip.
